Pulse Spray Drying: a new way for energy-efficient drying

Pulse Spray Drying is a new type of Spray Dryer that does not use nozzels or rotary discs to atomize. Instead of that, it uses more than 100 pulses per second (little shock waves) that are generated by a pulse generator. The advantages over conventional Spray Drying, are better energy efficiency (20 to 30% better) and the possibility to atomize more viscous products. EKONEK has taken successfully the technology to industrial scale.
