Bulk Material Handling in Food Production

The well-designed transport of bulk materials within a manufacturing process in the food industry contributes significantly to achieving the specified product quality. In this context, it is important to coordinate the raw material properties, their storage, the feeding to the individual process steps already during the planning stage, as otherwise quality losses can quickly occur. These can be, for example, recipe errors during mixing or segregation during transport of the product mixture to final packaging line. In addition, the escape of product and the resulting dust formation must be avoided from hygienic and safety point of view.
