The ANDRITZ Gouda paddle dryer is a technology that has a lot to offer. It is used for drying sewage sludge or for heat treatment of powders, granulates or pasty products in a continuous chemical drying process. The long sludge retention time combined with the average sludge temperature of 100º C makes it possible to provide pasteurization and hygienic treatment of sludge – any sludge. Any residual moisture level can be chosen for the end product. This makes the machine suitable for partial drying to 35-40% dry solids, which is required prior to incineration of sludge. The dryers are designed for a long and continuous life cycle and handle products with the required care - even toxic materials. For products in the food industry sensitive to heat or oxygen, we have developed a vacuum model of our paddle dryer.
