The aim of our current research and development projects in the fields of thermal, mechanical and biotechnological process technology is the development of applications in the industry.

In close cooperation with industrial partners we perform technological and energetic process analyses and derive the required measurements for an optimized process design.

Due to the modern installations and equimpent in our test centre we are able to preprocess different materials on a laboratory or small scale. Furthermore we perform complexe procedural investigations.

E.S.C.H. GmbH with its headquarters on the industrial site in Unterwellenborn was based in February 1992 as a result of a management buy-out of the Technical Development division of the former Maxhütte Unterwellenborn GmbH. Today, E.S.C.H. GmbH has highly qualified and experienced research and development personnel in the fields of metallurgical, energetic and biotechnological process engineering, pneumatic conveying technology as well as refractory and environmental engineering.

Through the consistent further development of its own technologies (PCI+, EKOFOR, MULTIFLUX, ESCHSORB (www.esch-online.de)) and the realization of numerous projects, E.S.C.H. GmbH is currently the European market leader in the corresponding branches of industry. A decisive factor for success is the know-how built up over many years for the design of the plants as well as the core components of the technologies manufactured in our own production facilities.

In 2017, E.S.C.H. GmbH expanded its R & D activities into the field of ceramic membranes and systems.

In recent years, E.S.C.H. GmbH has carried out extensive tests at several power plant sites in Germany and the Czech Republic to separate mercury from the flue gas via the electrostatic precipitator.

The installation of test plants on a small technical scale thus enables practical research results to be obtained. The knowledge thus gained can be applied very quickly in pilot or production plants.

Our conveying technology, which is specially tailored to achieving technological objectives, is pneumatic conveying - thin stream and dense stream.
