There are two basic typers of Feeder operation: Volumetric and Gravimetric. 

HETHON dosing machines can be placed a weighing plateau with one or more built-in loadcells as you require. In combination with the software you can, as such, create a high-quality dosing system with many adjustment options. You can, for instance, apply pre-set formulas, adjustable dosing speeds, or a coarse and fine dosing for even more accuracy.

By placing your packaging on a weighing plateau, your HETHON dosing machine can dose your product directly into the packaging you desire. Instead of the HETHON Feeder, your packaging and product will be on the weighing scale.

The weighing system automatically ensures the accurate dosing from the HETHON Feeder into your packaging.

Which feeder for which application

The principle of feeding volumetrically starts with keeping the screw full. The effectiveness and accuracy are strongly dependent on a constant and homogeneous filling of the dosing screw.

This method provides consistent, repeatable metering with linear control with materials that are considered “good” powders. A good powder has a consistent bulk density, and manageable characteristics.

Volumetric feeding falls short of capacity requirements when a material has a varying bulk density. Material that can vary widely in bulk density within a batch will struggle to meet dosing requirements with a Volumetric feeder.

Why a HETHON - Big-Bag unloader

HETHON Big-Bag unloaders are ideal for emptying  Big-Bags with compacting dry substances. Equipped with four diagonally moving paddles with integrated air cylinders, poorly flowing dry powders are completely removed out of the bag, preventing any waste.

Design

This design is specially made for difficult-flowing powders. It fits perfectly to our flexible wall feeders. To empty completely it has a has a double paddle massage under the bottom of the Big- Bag that will avoid degradation or bridging of your powders and will give you the highest guarantee that the powder will come out as you intended. 

Dust Free

In case of dusty powder there is a spout clamp system that keeps the spout closed while opening the outlet.

In many cases it is also used to close the spout again.

For the dust-free transfer of powders and granules HETHON has designed the VacuFeed: a vacuum conveyor that combines all the advantages of various existing equipment into one machine.

The VacuFeed can serve as a product feeder and be made to fit on, for example, HETHON Feeders, a mixer, or a filling machine, just to name a few.

The VacuFeed is also suitable for dust-free emptying of bulk packaging such as bags, tubs, and barrels.

Modular build up

The VacuFeed is available in four models that are all made of matte stainless steel. Depending on the conveying needs, the VacuFeed delivers a flow rate from 300 to 3,500 l/h. The required vacuum for the FacuFeed can be obtained by means of a pneumatic or an electrical system.

All the models are modular and are available in different capacities by placing spacers. The VacuFeeds are also equipped with an automatic, pneumatic filter cleaner.
Moreover, each VacuFeed is equipped with a pneumatically operated shut-off valve and an electric/pneumatic control unit.
