The Product Certification Division offers expertise, quality and speed in assessing the conformity of products, which leads to your growth and success.

Our wide portfolio of services includes certification for protective equipment against falls from a height and slipping, for machinery for underground working and for explosives for civil use. The division also certifies conveyor belts, mobile explosives manufacturing units and explosives accessories.

VVUÚ is a notified body authorized in accordance with EU harmonization legal regulations, namely as Notified Body 1019, for the conformity assessment of the following product groups:

• 2006/42/EC Machinery        
• 2014/34/EU Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres        
• Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Personal protective equipment          
• 2014/28/EU Explosives for civil uses

The core activity of this test laboratory is to determine the fire-technical characteristics of all industrial dust.

Standardized test methods are used to determine fire-technical characteristics, which make it possible to describe the behavior of individual objects under their test load. These analyses are done mainly for the correct classification of the spaces in which these substances exist, which allows for the correct selection and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment.

The aim is to obtain measured data, i.e. technical-safety parameters, which are further used to create safety data sheets and in operationally related risk assessments of technologies, especially as background materials for the comprehensive processing of Explosion Protection Document.

Our newly built test center in Ostrava-Radvanice is equipped with pressure-resistant equipment in volumes from 0.4 m³ to 60 m³ . This workplace is primarily focused on testing the individual elements of explosion protection according to the relevant technical regulations.

Accredited test laboratory

Our accredited test laboratory offers testing using state-of-the-art test equipment that reflects the intended use of the equipment.

The VVUÚ test laboratory, No. 1025, is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 for performing tests on flammability, explosion protection and protective systems for intended use in potentially explosive atmosphere, on flow, dust and technical acoustics, explosives and explosives accessories, the explosiveness of flammable powder, personal protective equipment and mining machinery.

Our team of specialized test technicians has many years of experience in explosion protection and in researching and developing it. This explosion protection test room is state-of-the-art and one of the best-equipped test rooms in Europe. The test laboratory has an extensive portfolio of test vessels.

Our accredited explosion protection test room offers a wide range of tests - from testing rotary feeders and explosion relief and isolation equipment to explosion suppression systems. Testing the pressure resistance of industrial equipment is a matter of course.
