We manufacture loading silos made of aluminum and stainless steel to be placed on a steel or concrete structure especially for loading bulk goods onto trucks or ships. The width and height of the underpass bridge are matched to the respective application. The removed quantity can also be determined using a P+W weighing system without having to interrupt the removal process. The measuring accuracy of the weighing silos in logistics systems is approx. 1% of the system weight.

Standardized modulsilos

Pressure tanks are closed containers whose inner pressure is much higher than the ambient pressure. What is required
of tanks and containers varies considerably and they usually require individual solutions and flexibility during production.
We leave nothing to chance when we design tanks. Each container is developed and constructed in our modern 3d-
AUTOCAD facilities according to your individual wishes and requirements. We transmit the data of the 3d construction
directly to the NC-controlled manufacturing machines. This guarantees a precise and error-free production. By using our well-trained and experienced specialists, projects are designed quickly and unproblematically. Whether we produce containers for the beverage, food, biological, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical or the waste water and recycling industries: the very different production processes of our customers result in our finding new and innovative ways of producing tanks and containers.

P+W Metallbau standard storage silos are designed to handle most of today’s usual bulk goods. In combination with
an extensive accessories programme, just about all operating bulk good storage tasks can be solved economically and
effectively. The wide range of silo sizes in connection with various silo diameters ensures a flexible and economic construction
of the desired storage capacity. Our standard silo programme offers our customers short delivery times and minimal
planning effort for the integration of silos in existing facilities or for new constructions. In particular for facility
manufacturers or planning committees, we offer data exchange via PdF or dWG for fast technical conception
designs. By using of modern data communication technic, we are able to carry out orders all over the world quickly and
unbeaurocratically. The design load for the static silo layout are in accordance with the dIN 1055, part 6. This takes into
account nearly all free-flowing, low-cohesive, granular and powdered bulk goods. We assume that centralised product
extraction is used without any asymmetrical flow zones.

Pipe blender

The pipes, arranged on the outer walls of the silos, have different nominal diameters. Because of the specially
constructed product inlets, the product is pre-mixed both when it flows in and out of the mixing pipe. The different
pipe diameters and lengths create a varying speed and flow profile in the pipes. This leads to a further product
homogenisation.

Central pipe blender
The pipe located in the middle of the silo has different inlets. Due to the specially constructed material intake
zones, the product is already pre-blended when it flows in from the various zones. The resulting crosswise mixing
of the product has a significant, and therefore reinforcing, effect on the efficiency of the blending. The different intake zones produce varying speed and flow profiles in the pipe. This leads to a further product homogenisation.

Cone blender
A blender fitting integrated in the silo cone serves to distribute the product evenly. The product is guided via various
flow zones to the outlet and is blended. due to the different flow speeds, there are varying residence times
for the product. This increases the blending effect. The blender is suitable for both the continuous and discontinuous
blending of bulk goods. Thus existing silos can be retrofitted quickly and easily.

Screw mixers
The product is continuously collected from the cone by a central vertical mixing screw and conveyed upwards through the mixing pipe to the roof of the silo. The blended material is picked up by an ejector which distributes it in fine layers over the container’s entire width. The silo
can be filled or discharged at any time irrespective of the blending process. The mixing screw is powered by a gear
motor which is located in the middle of the roof of the silo.
