Business processes are analyzed and modeled and supported by software. Possible applications and interfaces of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems are considered. Methods of data analysis are used for operational decision support and intelligent automation of business processes.
The field of study Agricultural Informatics focuses on the use of informatics in agriculture. The fundamentals of agricultural sciences are taught in order to analyze agricultural processes and support them with software technology. The functionality and possible applications of geoinformation systems (GIS) are considered. Technologies for (environmental) data acquisition are taught and methods of data analysis are applied to evaluate agricultural data.
The promotion of personal and social skills is embedded as a cross-sectional task in the entire course of studies, such as independent work, presentation of work results or teamwork.
The tasks and opportunities in the profession of graduates of the Applied Computer Science program are diverse. Many design, develop, support or research software solutions or complex IT systems. They also found their own companies or carry out projects as freelancers.
