The shaft seals of the SDW20 series are designed with split housings. The sealing rings are cut in 3 parts radially and are mounted in the housing so that they can move radially. The split housings make it much easier to assemble and disassemble the shaft seal. For the sealing rings, several PTFE compounds as well as special synthetic carbon qualities are available, which are used for high-temperature applications up to 600°C. The sealing rings are made of PTFE. The seal ring materials are designed for dry running and do not require any lubrication.

STASSKOL has been active in sealing technology for over 100 years. The product portfolio includes seals for compressors, shaft seals for use in rotating equipment, and high-performance polymers developed and manufactured in-house.

STASSKOL seals are used in a wide variety of industrial sectors, such as the food industry, aerospace, vacuum technology, mechanical engineering and the petrochemical industry. Unlike other suppliers, STASSKOL is able to produce seals not only in standard sizes and designs, but also to optimally adapt dimensions, material selection and sealing system to the customer's application. In addition, the sealing experts develop their own sealing solutions for applications that are particularly demanding in terms of process temperatures, pressures, and the medium to be sealed.

In manufacturing the seals, STASSKOL uses high-performance polymers from its own production, which are permanently temperature-resistant up to 300°C, wear-resistant in high-pressure processes up to 1000 bar, resistant to acids, fats and solvents, and can be manufactured up to a diameter of 1200mm.

The company has a state-of-the-art testing equipment and a research and development department that has developed a number of patents in recent years.

STASSKOL operates in Europe from its base in Staßfurt, Germany, has representatives in China, India and Japan, and another manufacturing facility in the USA. Worldwide, 120 employees work for the company.
