Silo and tank weighing with weighing modules VC 3500/ LCM 460

The weighing modules VC 3500 and LCM 460 are heavy-duty modules for weighing of silos, vessels, tanks and mixers. The special design of the modules allows installation directly between the foundation or substructure and the tank support. The module guarantees optimum force transmission and an extremely high lift-off and transverse load protection – normally without any additional transverse link and captivation mechanics.

The installation normally occurs without dummies, because the fixing screws in the upper module part protect the load cell from shock loads that may occur when installing the silo.

For nominal loads from 2 to 200 t.

The LCM 460 weighing module in the version up to 20 t is legal-for-trade according to OIML R60.

Optionally, the modules can also be delivered with an EN 1090 certificate (VC 3500 for nominal loads 50, 75 and 100 t and LCM 460 for nominal loads 50 and 100 t).

1. Measuring accuracy - The modules VC 3500 and LCM 460 are equipped with high-precision double-ended shear beam load cells made of stainless steel. The LCM 460 even has an OIML R60 approval C3 for nominal loads up to 20 t. The design of the module provides optimum force transmission into the load cell, thus ensuring reliable and exact weighing results.
    
2. Safety - The special design of the modules protects the load cell from high lift-off and transverse loads, thus ensuring the installation of the weighing module directly between foundation and tank support. No additional transverse link and captivation mechanics is required. Slight tilting can also be compensated.
    
3. Protection - Locking screws in the upper part of the module protect the load cell from such shock loads as may occur upon installation of the silo. An additional ground strape serves as overvoltage protection.
    
4. Easy replacement of load cell - The load cell is fitted into the module in such a way that the load cell can be replaced without the necessity to remove the entire module, which is installed underneath the silo or tank.
