Redesigned Turbiscan TOWER is introduced, multi-sample analyzer of stability and particle size in concentrated dispersions. With a dedicated TSI Scale screen display, the instrument is a perfect solution for fast formulation ranking and comparison.

2019

Formulaction celebrates its 2000th instrument sale in the formulation industry, demonstrating its leading position in the characterization of the concentrated dispersions.

2016

Launching of a new range of instruments, FLUIDICAM, based on microfluidics. The Fluidicam RHEO is dedicated to viscosity measurements under high shear rates, with an extreme accuracy even at low viscosities, and low sample consumption.

2016

Launching of the Rheolaser CRYSTAL, a new instrument dedicated to thermal analysis and phase transition detection, based on MS-DWS.

2016

TURBISOFT 2.0 is released, a breakthrough in data treatment and focused on the Turbiscan Stability Index (TSI).

2013

Launching of the Rheolaser MASTER, spearhead of the Rheolaser range, dedicated to gel formation and viscoelastic analysis.

2013

Launching of a new range of instruments for microrheology (Rheolaser™) based on multiple light scattering in dynamic mode (MS-DWS).

2009

Foundation of Formulaction Inc, American subsidiary of Formulaction, based in Philadelphia.

2008

Formulaction celebrates the 1000th Turbiscan™ sale and consolidates its leader position on the worldwide market of stability of concentrated dispersions.

2007

Launching of Horus™, the first commercial instrument based on optical Multi-Speckle-Diffusing Wave Spectroscopy, to analyse film formation (drying, curing).

2006

Launching of the Turbiscan™ AGS, multi-samples station for high throughput stability analysis of dispersions.

2003

Launching of the Turbiscan™ LAB, a new generation of instruments with high performances which dramatically increased the number of users in the world.

2001

26 distributors and agents commercialise the Turbiscan all over the world.

2000

Awards for the Turbiscan™ ONLINE at the International Exhibition & Conferences for Instrumentation PITTCON, Orlando (USA).

1999

Launching of the Turbiscan™ ONLINE, instrument dedicated to process monitoring of dispersions in real time.

1998

Awards for the Turbiscan™ MA2000 at the International Exhibition & Conferences for Instrumentation PITTCON, New Orleans (USA).

1997

Innovation Awards for the Turbiscan™ concept analysis granted by the French technical magazine « L’Usine Nouvelle ».

1995

Gérard Meunier creates the company Formulaction SA and launches the Turbiscan™ MA1000, a revolutionary instrument based on multiple light scattering principle in static mode for stability analysis of concentrate dispersions (emulsions, suspensions, foams).

July 1994

Gérard Meunier develops a new concept of stability analysis of dispersions and registers on May 17, 1994, a patent entitled “Method and apparatus for analyzing the phases of a multi-phase mixture ». This is the first method which enables the measurement of opaque dispersions (emulsions, suspensions, foams), thanks to a backscattering detection system.

1992-1994

Professor Bothorel (Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal, Bordeaux, CNRS) registers a patent about a new way to characterize phases diagrams. This is the first step in the development of a vertical scanner using the transmission to analyse the whole length of a sample.
