Ra­dial fans that de­liver op­ti­mized per­for­mance are an in­dis­pens­able part of ven­ti­la­tion sys­tems. Ra­dial fans with a belt drive are able to gen­er­ate dif­fer­ent lev­els of speed and thus im­prove per­for­mance over the short term. This makes it pos­si­ble to work with a range of vol­umes or in dif­fer­ent room sizes.

RA­DIAL FAN WITH COU­PLING DRIVE

THE CORE COM­PO­NENT OF ANY VEN­TI­LA­TION SYS­TEM

The radial fan is the core com­po­nent and dri­ving force of any ven­ti­la­tion sys­tem. It pro­vides the en­ergy re­quired to trans­port the con­vey­ing medium through the com­po­nents of a sys­tem against all re­sis­tance. To en­sure ef­fi­cient op­er­a­tion, the fan must be pre­cisely tai­lored to the op­er­a­tional sit­u­a­tion in ques­tion.

The coupling drive
In this case, the drive takes the form of an elas­tic cou­pling act­ing on the in­ter­me­di­ate shaft – with­out the kind of up­stream trans­mis­sion that would be found on a belt drive. In sit­u­a­tions in­volv­ing larger di­men­sions, the fan com­po­nents can be em­bed­ded into a con­crete foun­da­tion in­stead of a steel bracket.

Var­i­ous types of wear pro­tec­tion op­tions are avail­able for trans­port­ing abra­sive me­dia. A ver­sion with ATEX con­for­mity (plus cor­re­spond­ing cer­ti­fi­ca­tion) is avail­able for use in po­ten­tially ex­plo­sive at­mos­pheres or for trans­port­ing po­ten­tially ex­plo­sive me­dia.

Continuous analyses
Sen­sor val­ues re­lat­ing to bear­ing tem­per­a­tures, vi­bra­tion ve­loc­i­ties or speed mon­i­tor­ing, for in­stance, pro­vide in­for­ma­tion about the cur­rent state of the equip­ment and can be eval­u­ated dur­ing op­er­a­tion.

FOR CON­VEY­ING ME­DIA AT UP TO 1,000 °C

Fans are usu­ally key el­e­ments of pro­duc­tion processes with ven­ti­la­tion sys­tems.

If the op­er­at­ing site has to con­tend with high tem­per­a­tures, it will use hot-gas fans in the process of trans­port­ing me­dia. Both the de­sign and the ma­te­ri­als used in hot-gas fans en­sure re­li­able op­er­a­tion even in high-tem­per­a­ture zones.

Scheuch COM­PO­NENTS hot-gas fans con­vey me­dia at tem­per­a­tures of up to and over 1,000 °C thanks to spe­cial de­sign mea­sures and the use of high-qual­ity ma­te­ri­als and en­abling a heat treat­ment plant, for ex­am­ple, to be equipped with heat­ing, an­neal­ing and cool­ing zones from a sin­gle source.

Scheuch cus­tomers ex­pect the very best and that is why the SwingOut and Pull­Out radial fan mod­els have a key ad­van­tage over other in­dus­trial-grade fans: The im­peller can be cleaned in a very short amount of time.

Save time and money
Down­times in pro­duc­tion processes cost money – with the di­rect-dri­ven in­dus­trial-grade SwingOut and Pull­Out fans, clean­ing is quick and easy be­cause the im­peller and mo­tor are mounted on a door and, de­pend­ing on the de­sign, are sim­ply swung out or pulled out to the rear. The duct­ing sys­tem does not have to be sep­a­rated from the fan. This saves both time and money as it al­lows the sys­tem to be put back into op­er­a­tion very quickly.
