NANOPHOX CS | Next-generation dynamic light scattering instrument with the novel polarization-separated backscatter PCCS
As pioneers of photon cross correlation spectroscopy (PCCS), we offer an innovative technology based on dynamic light scattering (DLS) for particle size analysis from < 1 nm to 10,000 nm. The advantage of PCCS is the correct measurement of particle size distributions without the influence of multiple scattered light. Time-consuming sample dilution can be avoided, as highly concentrated suspensions or emulsions are measured directly.
The NANOPHOX CS from Sympatec takes classic PCCS to a new level with its innovative polarization-separated backscatter PCCS. Measurements are realised in less than one minute in original sample concentration. Falsification of results due to sample dilution is excluded. At the same time, the cutting-edge technology increases the accuracy and repeatability of the measurement results within shortest measurement times.
At the push of a button, the PAQXOS software automatically sets all measurement parameters optimally, checks the measurability of the sample before starting the analysis and outputs the signal quality for orientation during and after the measurement. Particularly user-friendly are the automatic adjustment of the laser intensity and the precise positioning of the cuvette to optimise the measurement signal.
CUVETTE with SYSIPHUS | Stand-alone cuvette for wet dispersion of very small quantities
The CUVETTE is a wet dispersion system for the HELOS laser diffraction sensor for particle size analysis of suspensions and emulsions with small sample volumes. Redesigned CUVETTE in LIM design, the proven glass cuvettes with 50 ml and 6 ml volumes are available.
The range of applications is extended with a third cuvette made of stainless steel. SYSIPHUS combines the dispersing performance of a full-grown system like QUIXEL with a sample volume of only 50 ml: The sample is simply dosed, automatically stirred, pumped into the measuring zone and dispersed with ultrasound. Finest particle sizes from 0.1 µm are thereby reliably dispersed and measured.
All cuvettes are mounted on the CUVETTE in the form of a module system. This offers improved laser protection and better handling during sample preparation: by pulling out the module carrier in front of the sensor, the cuvettes can be inserted particularly easily to visually check the dispersion state of the sample.
SPRAYER and SMACTOR | Dosing Unit for Droplet Size Analysis in Nasal Spray Cones
The new generation of the SPRAYER is an adapter for nasal or pharyngeal pump sprays, which is used to measure the droplet size distribution with the HELOS laser diffraction sensor. The simulation of an individual fingerprint is provided by the versatile actuator SMACTOR. SMACTOR supports both velocity- and force-controlled actuation according to set parameters such as acceleration, velocity, path length, maximum force and rise time.
The combination of SPRAYER and SMACTOR in a robust and cable free design provides enhanced sensor-monitored operation, ensuring fast and precise positioning of the nasal spray bottle. For other spray types such as MDI, pump or propellant gas bottles, the SMACTOR can also be operated without the SPRAYER on the HELOS.
The SPRAY evaluation module, designed as an extension of the PAQXOS software, enables the subsequent selection and combination of signals into an individual measurement with a time-resolved individual signal recording.
