The Pergande spray granulation process is the result of years of research and development.
The process is based on the successful combination of Pergande high-performance fine-dust filtration and Pergande fluidized-bed granulation. Even the most difficult products can be granulated using this process. Comprehensive experience from our continuous operation (see contract granulation) has been incorporated into the development work. The Pergande process guarantees top-quality granulate at the lowest possible operating costs.
Pergande spray granulation lines can be operated in either batch or continuous mode. The changeover between the two modes is effected all-automatically. The Pergande fluized spray granulation plants are accepted worldwide as the major company in fluidised bed spray granulation technology.
We are able to manufacture apparatus in all kind of material for instance stainless steel 1.4301, 14571, Titanium. Hastelloy and Alloy as well as in all sizes at our workshop. Spray granulation is a combination of fluid-bed drying and spray drying. The individual powder particles in the fine-grain seed material are combined into larger agglomerates. Unlike the case with compactors, however, there are no external forces acting on the agglomerates. This process is consequently also referred to as pelletizing. Fluid-bed agglomerates have a porous structure and are easily dissolved or dispersed. The receiving liquid (suspension or solution) is sprayed onto the fluidized seed material. Some of the solvent is evaporated in the air stream and also in the fluid bed. Due to the combination with Pergande high-performance fine-dust filter technology, seed material can be fed in permanently as a result of returning the filter cake to the fluid bed.
Within only a very short space of time, Pergande has been able to develop a unique process for granulating melts. This process now makes it possible to granulate solutions which could not be granulated with other processes. The characteristic thing compare to a Pergande fluidised bed spray granulator is that the solution has been converted into melt and after that it will be granulated. Melt granulation is used above all for solids with a high solvent bond and specified final concentration in the granulate. When the solution has been converted into melt, the latter is bonded to a carrier substance. It is transformed to the solid state by discharging the heat of solidification. Total solidification of the granulate is achieved by specific comminution of the product. The required particle size is obtained by subsequent grinding and screening. High mechanical strength is a characteristic of this granulate, as a compact crystal lattice forms when the melt solidifies on the carrier substance.
Pergande – Rotor Granulation Process for Pigment-Granules-
The Pergande rotor granulation for pigment manufacturing is the result of intensive research and development in cooporation with our cutomers. For the first time, the process combines a continuous mixing process for powdered bulk goods. The required agglomerate liquid will be dosaged continuously during the mixing process. The rotor garnulator are charaterizid by a rotating bottom. The selective centrifugal- and shearing stresses are affecting the granulegerms. The outcome of this is a spherical granule. Through lowering of the rotor disk the (centrifugal stress) product will be carried out. The above mentioned process will be completed by an established Pergande fluidized bed spray process and security sieving.
