BOLZ INTEC not only produces single units or small batch series but is also involved in the further development of existing products with an eye on cost-effectiveness as well as budget savings and resource conservation.
For this reason, BOLZ INTEC has developed a price-optimised stainless-steel drum with flat bottom, the Best-Cost-Drum, for single-use application or as dedicated equipment. For the Best-Cost-Drum with a border, BOLZ INTEC uses thin stainless steel, e.g. 1.4301. The drum is available with a diameter of 450 mm and a volume of 100 l or a diameter of 560 mm and a volume of 200 l. With the kit, both a lidded version and a tight-head version are possible. The floor and, for tight-head drums, also the top part are pressed into the prepared shells. TIG welding is then safely performed on the shell outside of the part that comes into contact with the product. The optional border of the lower edge of the shell helps to provide the highest degree of stability and sturdiness. When used as a lidded drum, the shell at the top is also available welded tight or open. The drum is then sealed using a standard lid with seal and clamping ring.
When using as a tight-head drum, the prepared top part is also pressed in and safely TIG welded. There are several variants of opening available, including Tri-Sure, Tri-Clamp fitting or dairy coupling.
The patented Best-Cost-Drum is suitable for multiple use as well as in cases where raw or basic materials can only be used once due to the long transport routes and the associated costs but the high cleanliness standards must still be satisfied. There is no need for cleaning here, thereby saving considerable time and money.
