Rotating impeller valves are used in bulk solid processes in order to ensure a uniform discharge of materials, e.g. from silos, bunkers or from weighing containers.
Due to the frequency-controlled rotational speed the impeller valves can also be used as a dosing unit, working volumetrically and preventing overfilling of downstream processes effectively.
Screw or oscillating conveyors can therefore be uniformly fed, without clogging.
For quick floating materials, a pair of blades interrupts the material flow in short consecutive intervals, hence allowing a safe and effective discharge of the material.
The deploying of the impeller valves into pneumatic feed pipes homogenises and aerates the product flow. The fitting dimensions comply with the face-to-face diameter of butterfly valves with accordingly low overall height. Hence, EBRO impeller valves can be installed in existing plants without significant adaptation.
Pipeline cross-sections remain cylindrical and a change to square flanges is not necessary.
Due to its design the six blades run through the zero line of the body, ensuring the materials passing through, is not frontally or laterally pressed along the body walls, nor can granules be pulverised.
EBRO impeller valves are operating extremely product gently and energy efficient.
All parts which are in contact with the medium are made from FDA-conformable stainless steel or can be exceptionally wear-resistant on customer request. As an option the EBRO impeller valve can be supplied with an orientated stop-function. After shutdown the next pair of blades turn into the zero line and seals the pipeline.
The EBRO Impeller Valve Series FS-M is available from diameter DN 150 up to DN 400.
