The innovative abrasive sludge extraction and settling system from MBM
The use of waterjet cutting systems produces more than 1000 kg of abrasive sludge every day if two cutting heads are effectively used.
Its rapid removal is one of the main prerequisites for ensuring the economical and reliable use of these machines. If the sludge is allowed to harden, the cutting tank can only be cleaned by means of manual, particularly intensive and time consuming methods.
The MBM-ASAS is the abrasive sludge extraction and settling system from Metallbau Müller GmbH for big an medium cutting plants with a consumption of abrasive above 500 g/min and a hugh working area. It is easy to integrate into existing systems and removes the abrasive sludge reliably whilst the cutting system is operating.
One or more supplied special pipework systems are installed in the cutting tank.
During the cutting operation a Siemens controller checks the extraction process. The abrasive sludge is pumped straight into one of two big bags, the second Big Bag is used as overflow for additional sedimentation area. The use of our special Big Bags ensures a very good and reliable filtration.
We also supply machines for water treatment which goes up to the water circulation solution, where the purified water is returned to the high-pressure pumps.
