Unique calcium-phosphate-based starter pellets

Multi-Unit Pellet Systems (MUPS) are modern dosage forms offering multifold advantages compared to single unit dosage
forms such as tablets and capsules. They reduce the risk for dose dumping, maximize drug absorption and show very good
reproducibility of therapeutic effects. To formulate such MUPS inert starter pellets are required, which suit the properties
of drug substances as well as the demands of the production processes.
PharSQ® Spheres CM combine a very high mechanical strength and high degree of sphericity. These unique starter pellets
are inconsiderably soluble in water, which makes them ideal candidates for effortless coating with aqueous dispersions
or solutions. In addition PharSQ® Spheres CM exhibit a very low moisture content in combination with a very low specific
surface area and subsequently minimal moisture uptake, therefore PharSQ® Spheres CM are especially suitable for
moisture sensitive drugs.
