Dedert has extensive experience in providing spray congealers to a range of industries.
Spray congealers are similar to spray dryers: the difference being that they use cold air to cool a spray of hot molten material into a cold powder. This produces a free flowing powder from a molten waxy liquid.
Dedert’s spray congealer systems are operated in a closed cycle using chilled water or a refrigerant to cool down the air. The feed material can be prepared from solid blocks by melting them, or received from the production process as a melt. Trace heated piping is used to transport the molten material into Dedert’s patented rotary atomiser or spray nozzles, which spray into the congealing chamber. It meets the cold air and the hot droplets are cooled to produce a fine free flowing product.
