Electrostatic ReCyclone® Systems for retrofitting are composed by existing cyclones, usually multicyclones, and electrostatic recirculation systems.
The main purpose of the recirculation system is to reintroduce the non captured particles into the cyclones after those particles have been driven to the outer walls of the recirculator. By not collecting any particles in the recirculator, but only in the cyclones, ReCyclone® EMC need a much lower field power than ESPs and are immune to low or high particle resistivity and back-corona.
Efficiency rises both due to recirculation and agglomeration of very small particles with larger ones coming into the system and electrostatic forces assuring that the smallest particles don’t escape to the atmosphere.
As other cyclones, these systems are very robust, avoid changing parts and operate at high temperature. The product is exclusively collected in the cyclones.
When compared with ReCyclone® EH, ReCyclone® EMC is less efficient, but many times sufficient to comply with regulatory emission limits.
