Drum Iris Sampling is a skid useful to contain the interface to a drum full of powder/liqiud to be sampled into an inert, or controlled (i.e. GMP Grade or low humidity or other as required) atmosphere. The iris is positioned on the working level, horizontally oriented, of an isolator chamber. A transpallet lifts up the drum trought the iris and make it available to the inner chamber, and then to the operator for a safe (via gloves) sampling. The skid is using a single IRIS innovative concept of interfacing container, without using consumables, orings or (drum) sleeves, and a controller acting on a fluid injection and an extraction fan to reach the target environmental conditions before allowing the sampling procedure.
