Increasing air demand in large filter systems:
Filter valve series extended up to DN 80
Short but intensive blasts of air with high pressure pulses are required for cleaning modern filter systems. To meet this increased demand for air in large filter systems IMI Precision Engineering has extended its filter valve series of the brand IMI Buschjost with new bracket-connection filter valves with a 3-inch seating diameter in DN 80. These valves, directly mountable on the air tank, impress with a very high Kv value of 160 m3/h and can switch to change the air flow in a fraction of a second.
As with opening, the closing process is also fast. For economy of operation with minimum air demand, the valve must close quickly again after the cleaning process.
At the heart of the valve is the one-piece, injection-moulded, high-tech diaphragm. This diaphragm is capable of withstanding high loads, is extremely leak-proof and has a long service life. Leakage flows, which are unavoidable with fabric diaphragms, do not occur with these new TPE plastic diaphragms.
IMI Precision Engineering fits the special alloy housings with silencers as standard. The valves can have electromagnetic or indirect pneumatic controls. To ensure the valves can be installed without problems in tight spaces, the housings and solenoids are connected with the proven Twist-on® bayonet connection. Solenoids and valve bodies can be connected and disconnected again simply by hand. This also ensures that the functional elements are attached (and cannot be misplaced) to the valve body or to the solenoid.
The valves are designed to have a long, maintenance-free operating life and can be used for fluid temperatures of between -40 and +85 °C - and in special versions up to +140 °C. They work reliably in a pressure range of 0.4 to 8 bar. Solenoids are available for all commonly used voltages from 12 V to 230 V, for DC and AC and with approvals such as Atex and UL.
