Small and medium component station (SMC station)
The SMC station is designed for storing, dosing, and conveying bulk material and fibres of nominal values between 0.5 and 300 kg with an accuracy of up to 20 g. The raw material can be stored either in big bags, in sack chutes, in containers, or in site / transport silos.
Easy supply of raw materials
Normally, the exchangeable containers are installed at +0 m. This allows easy feeding of raw materials in terms of internal logistics.
Flexible raw material storage
The containers with raw materials (except for the site silos) are placed directly onto the standardised dosing station. This allows free allocation of the container types (including big bags) to the dosing stations.
Optimum space allocation
Thanks to an induced-draft conveyance of raw materials to the mixer, you can freely select where to place the dosing station. This allows an optimum use of the space available! You can adapt the running of pipes to the conditions prevailing in your plant.
Thanks to the modular system of the dosing stations you could extend your plant with further stations at a later time. Investment security will be guaranteed for many years as the plant provides for scalability.
High dosing accuracy at large throughput
The scale integrated in the receiving container upstream of the mixer offer two advantages:
- You can check weighing to confirm that the dosed material has been discharged from the station into the mixer.
- You can use a dosing function for nominal values above 40 kg.
This allows to dose a raw material - depending on the recipe requirements - either highly precise into special small components scales in the dosing station or - in case of nominal values between 40 kg and 300 kg - directly into the receiving container of the pneumatic conveyor.
The dosing devices used provide a very high control range, so that it is possible to dose both, medium and small components, at a satisfactory delivery rate and with sufficient accuracy for an assumed batch cycle time of 3 minutes.

OAS AG meets the demanding requirements of flexible, compact, and highly-precise dosing of small and medium components by means of the high-resolution electronics by OAS combined with the PC-based recipe system "proNTo".
The software allows for the different properties of raw materials and automatically corrects the dosing parameters.
"proNTo" itself is scalable, too, and offers functions for SCADA (visualisation) and MES as options; these are e.g. material management, batch logs, and connection to higher-level systems (e.g. ERP).
Moreover, the SMC station is ideal for implementing supplementary raw materials into an existing plant and in constricted rooms of production. For an extension of large components, OAS AG offers the so-called silo module for sizes ranging from 40 to 120 cub.m.
