In the sector of packing technology, the HAVER & BOECKER Machinery Division is presenting its HAVER ADAMS PROCESS® technology at Powtech 2013. This is environmentally gentle filling of powders and powder-products that have a share of coarse components into compact, sealed and weather-proof PE bags. Since the HAP® technology was introduced; the markets have come to greatly appreciate the advantages of optimum product protection, extended shelf life, cleanliness throughout the entire logistics chain and durable packaging. More than 50 HAP systems in stationary or rotating versions have gone into operation so far.
After it was possible for the first system to reach a speed of up to 1200 bags per hour, the customers soon expressed their desire for even greater performance. HAVER & BOECKER optimised the technology and, thanks to a new filling module and a continuously rotating system, the company now offers a high-speed filling machine with 2 – 12 filling spouts. Experience from the HAVER ROTO-PACKER® and expertise in FFS technology were combined to achieve the result. High speeds of 2000 25-kg bags/hr can be reached.
Due to the machine’s modular design, both the turbine and air-filling systems can be integrated, and thus allow a wide range of filling applications. Using the knowledge we have accumulated so far, all products that can be filled into valve bags can be handled – provided they have a certain minimum bulk density. Also products with difficult flow properties can be filled.
A first ADAMS 8 (8 filling spouts) high-performance machine for cement and dry building products has been in operation at a customer in Great Britain for several months with good results. In addition to high speeds, much value has been placed on operator friendliness and low noise emissions. The machine is completely enclosed and outfitted with sound-absorbing material.
