Among the different milling systems known at present, the jet mill is undoubtedly the most suitable for the micronizing of chemical and pharmaceutical products.
Thanks to its very well established and particular working principle it is able to meet numerous demands of fineness until to obtain, without the help of moving and classifying parts, micronized particles typically 100% below 5 µm, granting the total absence of metallic part pollution.
This is a result that cannot be achieved by more conventional mills, having different conception.
The jet mills are the ideal solution for formulation and development of agrochemicals, fungicides, insecticides, fertilizers, pigments, polymers, plastics, metals, cosmetics, chemicals, foodstuffs, drugs, etc… heat-sensitive products, abrasive and explosives can be micronized without causing damage to product or to jet mill and in absolute safety conditions.
The “Sanitary Version”, stainless steel construction, is particularly suitable and widely used for grinding materials having pharmaceutical use. The jet mills can work, if necessary, in closed circuit (usually with N2 gas with almost total recovery of the gas). Upon request are also available configurations integrated within isolator whenever necessary highly active process product, as well as systems designed specifically for R & D, able to micronize very small batches of product.
An important innovation is represented by the TILTBAR CYCLONE FILTER, it is a high efficiency gas-solid separation filter, with a special device to 90° rotation. This arrangement greatly facilitates the extraction of the sleeves and cleaning activities, without the aid of access ramps and lifting devices, in addition, for products which are extremely active, it is provided a special manipulator which protects the operator from the contact with the treated substance during sleeves disassembly.
