Our longterm experience in the development and production of additives in the food, feed and fine chemicals industries helps us realize your ideas quickly and completely. Extrusion

Compact matrix pellets with a narrow particle size distribution are produced by extrusion-spheronisation. Powder materials as well as liquid are embedded in a matrix material and formed into pellets in a basket extruder. Low temperature during the process allows processing of heat sensitive products and due to moderate compaction forces the products dissolve again easily in application, still providing the necessary mechanical strength.

The compact shape and the dense surface of the pellets facilitate subsequent coating applications.

Fluid Bed Agglomeration

Due to the moderate processing in a fluid bed equipment all type of products can be processed - even heat sensitive protein-based substances as enzymes and probiotics or volatile products as perfumes and flavours. Whether the target is a dust free, free-flowing agglomerate or an instantization - fluid bed agglomeration provides a homogeneous and reproducible product quality.

Coating of products is not only used in pharmaceutical applications but in all areas where protection against moisture, oxidation or interaction of actives is needed.

The application of a barrier extends shelf life and facilitates product handling. Processing can be simplified if active ingredients are released in a distinct manner. IPC provides the necessary technology and Know how for tailor made encapsulated products.

Fluid Bed Spray Granulation

Spraydrying is state of the art when it comes to transferring a liquid into a powder. Using the new ProCell technology the liquid is not only dried but different particle sizes and shapes from 100µm to several millimetre can be achieved, always dustfree and free flowing.

The versatility of this process opens new possibilities for high active pellet formulations like enzymes or encapsulated products as volatile flavours and perfumes. Spraychilling of molten waxes and fats is used for encapsulation of oils or micronized substances.

IPC Process-Center GmbH & Co. KG is your partner for the contract manufacturing of innovative granulates and pellets. Experienced staff members create your product on schedule, reliably and in consistent quality. Generally we proceed in three steps:

First step: Feasibility study
In the feasibility study we check if it is possible to carry out your commission. Here we consider all available methods and technologies, taking all safety aspects and of course your budget into account.

Second step: Pilot production
The purpose of the pilot production is the optimization of the manufacturing process in order to develop a robust method that can be applied in the final production. Product quality and process parameters are coordinated in close cooperation with you.

Third step: Contract manufacturing
We then manufacture your product in production scale. Our attention is equally focused on safety as on confidentiality. Upon request we will also supply full service for you.
