Exepd manufactures customized control panels for application in potentially explosive areas classified as zone 2 und 22. For these purposes, certified operator panels and additional integration and add-on components, such as terminals, cable glands, control and indication elements are used.

During manufacture of the control cabinets, we at Exepd take into consideration all individual requirements of the components, as well as their mutual interaction with regard of heat development within the control cabinet for the definition of the temperature class and/or the maximum surface temperature of the control cabinet.

We are flexible to implement special customer requirements, such as wall installation, integration housings or cantilever arm systems.
At Exepd, all requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU with regard to documentation, internal production monitoring and operating manuals are complied with and documented.

Flame proof boxes are ideally suitable for integration of control and regulation devices directly in a potentially explosive atmosphere. Exepd offers you a complete product range of terminal and control

boxes in the gas subclasses IIB and IIC.

These are certified to ATEX as well as IECEX according to Directive 2014/34/EU for application both in potentially explosive atmospheres classified as Zone 1 and in areas with combustible dusts classified as Zone 21.

The flame proof boxes are individually equipped with the respective devices, wired according to circuit diagram and equipped with the appropriate cable glands according to customer requirements.

Combination of specially certified control, signalling and indication elements is realised by integration in a conventional Ex e housing within the scope of Exepd certification. Thanks to processes adapted to customized special solutions and flexible partners, Exepd is able to realise short delivery periods for your projects.

The Exepd terminal boxes made of polyester, aluminium  or stainless steel are particularly suitable for application in rough ambient conditions. Their high degree of protection,  selected mat e r i a l s w i t h high temperature-resistance and high-quality manufacturing are a guarantee for satisfied customers.

Complying with the latest versions of standards the Exepd control cabinets are approved for application in potentially explosive areas classified as Zone 1 and Zone 21.

The terminal boxes can be used for both currents with increased safety and for intrinsic safety signals. Due to best possible availability in stock, reliable sub-contractors, experienced engineers in order processing and fast order-processing procedures, Exepd guarantees short delivery periods for the standard terminal box series.

The Exepd control boxes and panels are available in four different types of materials. Consequently, it is possible to guarantee maximum safety at moderate prices, depending on the ambient conditions on site and corresponding design requirements.

Customized equipment of the control cabinets with specially certified control, regulation and indication elements, and installation of components in industry quality in flame proof housings within the control boxes and panels is performed according to your plans and

requirements in agreement with our engineers.

The Exepd Ex p cabinets are used in many applications for the use as control –, regulatory-, drive- and monitoring systems in hazardous area. They are built individually in accordance to the required technical and environmental conditions. For the use in places with high or low temperatures, we could also add heater or cooling systems to the cabinet.

Ex px control cabinets

In combination with an Ex p controller the Ex px cabinets are ready for the use in hazardous area zone 1 and zone 21. The complete system will be certified based on the EC Type Certificate TPS 07 ATEX 61951 2X by Exepd.

Ex pz control cabinets

In combination with our controller A42-M2 the Ex pz cabinets

are ready for the use in hazardous area zone 2 and zone 22. The complete system will be certified based on the regulations of 2014/34/EU by Exepd.
