Canal Air Filter (Suction Filter)

VOIGT - Canal Air Filters are used as suction filters for fans, compressors and vacuum pumps.

According to the operational area, the stream favourable designed canal air filter is available in three various designs. Should be sucked in external air the canal air filter is one-sided equipped with a weather protection made of lamellas and on the other side with an outlet flange. Should be sucked in circulating air, a simple screen grid, instead of the weather protection, is sufficient. By fitting into a canal, without straight air inlet, the canal air filter is double-sided equipped with a flange. For all flanged connections it can be chosen between weld-on flanges according to DIN 2576 or ANSI and flat flanges according to DIN 24154.

All metal parts of the filters are optionally made of stainless steel 304 resp. 316 or steel RSt 37-2.

According to the application, pocket filters, frame filters, compact filters or suspended matter filters are optionally set in into the integral taking up frames of the canal air filter.

The quantity and the design of the filter inserts are determined according to the technical data of the system.

In cases with extended air volumes it is from time to time necessary to use several filters, next to each other and on top of each other, as a filter bank.

By means of an appropriate revision opening the filters can be easily replaced by the maintenance staff.

A device, inter-balanced to the type of filters, guarantees for the absolute tightness of the system.

If required it is also possible to fit in filter inserts with different filter classes one behind the other to get a graduated coarse and fine filtration. Therefore, for each individual filtration stage, it is built-in an own revision opening into the canal air filter.

Frame Filters

OIGT- Frame Filters are divided into the two product groups „Filter cells“ and „Z-Line-Filters“.

The filter cells are produced of a fibre glass medium and are surrounded with a punched paper board frame. To achieve a higher durability and a better separation the fibres are wetted with a binding agent.

The filter cells have a high dust storage capacity at a low pressure loss. As an alternative solution to the fibre glass the filter cells can also be delivered with synthetic fibre media.

By default the filter cells are available in the filter classes G2 and G3. Special designs can also be manufactured in the filter classes G4 - F9.

The Z-Line-Filters are produced of a high-graded zigzag pleated fleece and additional clean air sided stiffening by a wide meshed supporting grid made of metal in a punched paper board frame. A completely ashable and self stiff construction without the supporting grid made of metal is also available.

The Z-Line-Filters afford a very high filtration area by their deep filter core. Depending on the desired installation depth and filtration performance they are one-stage (continuous filter core) or two-stage (combination 2/3 filter core, 1/3 adherent glass fibre mat) available.

The Z-Line-Filters are customarily available in den filter classes G4 und F5. Special designs can also be manufactured in the filter classes F6 - F9.

All commercial standard sizes as well as different special sizes can be delivered.

Gas and Air Filtration (GLF-series)

Compressors, housings and vacuum pumps should be protected against impurities entering the compressor resp. fan chamber by the aspirated air or gas in terms of solids in order to avoid contaminations and a consequently wastage.

Our suction resp. vacuum filters of the GLF-series are specially designed for this case. They may be installed in a closed piping and can be inserted both on the intake side and on the pressure side.

For many years these filters have also proved of value in suction conveyors for powdery goods, in pneumatic mud conveyors, in sewage gas treatment plants, in mixers for powdery and grainy substances as well as in exhaust systems for the general industry (e.g. meal conveyor systems) and in cogeneration plants.

Description
Our GLF-Filters are offered in 14 different sizes and in 3 different type series. Depending on the air resp. the gas quantity and in consideration of the operating pressure and operating temperature as well as the local and plant-specific circumstances a correspondent filter can be chosen out of this wide product range.

The filter consists of the housing and a replaceable filter cartridge. According to the demands, the housings can be supplied with e.g. carry fists, legs, earth flaps and differential pressure gauges.

Beyond it, individual customer desires can be considered.

Filter sizes and designs
The service type of our GLF-Filters by default is in the range of 300 Bm³/h to 20.000 Bm³/h. By means of 14 different installation sizes a fine structuring was attained within this energy spectrum.

Because of the choice between 3 different designs the corresponding filter can be used according the specific requirements.

Filter cartridges
Our filter cartridges made of three-dimensional impregnated needle-felt (e.g. polyester, nomex) in star-shaped (pleated) designs are, compared to conventional cartridges made of paper and fleece, characterised by a high dust storage capacity and a therefore long lifetime.

Pocket Filters

VOIGT-pocket filters are produced in thermal welded and ultrasonic welded design depending on the filtration class.

The pocket filters in thermal welded design are fabricated from a progressive built-on medium out of finest, fail-safe polyester fibres, that are sanitarily and ecologically unobjectionable produced. The arrangement of the welds ensures the utilization of the whole pocket depth and allows a high dust storage capacity and a long durability.

At the pocket filters in ultrasonic welded design the medium consists of 3 plies affiliated with each other. The prefilter deposits coarse dusts and prevents the following micro fibre main filter stage from damage. Clean air sided a high-strength synthetic fibre fleece stabilizes. The construction assures by low pressure difference an optimal deposition and a high dust storage capacity. Like at the thermal welded design the synthetic fibres are fail-safe as well as sanitarily and ecologically unobjectionable.

All pocket filters are delivered with a synthetic frame (height 25 mm, completely ashable) or with a sheet steel frame (height 20 alt. 25 mm, galvanized).

Suspended Matter Filters

VOIGT-Suspended matter filters are manufactured out of high-grade glass fibre papers with different separation efficiencies.

Separated are suspended matters like e.g. aerosols, toxic dusts, viruses, germs etc.

Our suspended matter filters are available with frames made of MDF-pulp wood, extruded aluminium sheath, galvanized sheet steel or galvanized sheet steel with baking lacquering, depending on the request. The individual frame parts are added mechanically and make sure a high stability.

As a seal usually a flat profile gasket (neoprene) is delivered. If desired there are also verifying grooves, fluid and foamed endless gaskets gettable.

As a pottant normally is used a permanently elastic two-components-polyurethane-glue.

By the optimised pleat geometry a laminar exhaust flow with low pressure drop at constant high exhaust output comes into being.

Through the utilized thermoplastic spacers a compact and stable pleat package arises.

According to the EN 1822 at the suspended matter filters there are carried out inspections in proof of the leakage rate. At suspended matter filters of the grade H 13 it is about a so called oil filament test and at the grade H 14 there is used a particle measuring with liquid prove-aerosol.

If desired our suspended matter filters are available with an one-sided or double-sided handle protection.
