When the goods are conveyed through a bend, the pipes are worn not only in one segment but in most cases also in the following piping. In difficult situations two castiron pipes can be installed one after the other. The inside diameters and radii of the cast-iron segments correspond to the dimensions of our 3 mm thick piping, so that cast-iron segments can be inserted in exchange later at problematic places that are subject to wear.

A welded-on pipe out of our slip-over flange range can be used instead of the above mentioned slip-over flange. The slip-over flange piping fits perfectly to the cast-iron piping. Due to the side of the slip-over flange that lies flat on the pipe the extremely sensitive area of the connection is reinforced. As no resistance to surge pressure is required, a sealing of the slip-over flange by factory is not necessary in order to have a simpler and quicker installation.

For all connections pull-rings for cast-iron piping can be used, which are equipped by factory with a permanently elastic sealant that is also suitable for foodstuff. Bulk good brake units and lining of the pipes with polyurethane or rubber on request.

Pull-rings for U-shaped seals

Versions: electro galvanized. Alternative: stainless steel (1.4301).

Same profile of pull-rings for piping with a thickness of 1 mm and 2 mm. The wall thickness is equalized by thicker U-shaped seals for 1 mm pipes and thinner
ones for 2 mm pipes. The U-shaped seal is only slipped over one of the two lips.

Lip seals are available in NBR, silicone, conductive EPDM and Viton to meet the multiple chemical and thermal requirements.

Special tight connection:
The air leakage per connection measured at a differing pressure of 0,5 bar – e.g. 0,08 litres per hour on a diameter of 80 mm and 1,8 l/h on a diameter of 300 mm – are far below the admissible values of DIN EN 12237, class D. The requirements for nuclear plants (KTA 3601) of max. 10 litres per hour and square meter pipe surface are below the limits. Provided that the U-shaped seals are resistant enough, no leakages have been found out with condensed liquids in the pipe.

Connections of 1.5 mm and 2 mm thick piping with up to Ø 300 mm and 1 mm thickness for Ø 80 mm have been certified as shock-explosion proof up to 3 bar overpressure. Surge pressure proof pipelines with a diameter of more than 300 mm have to be installed with loose flange connections.

Application:
Bulk goods conveying and plants for air technique with differential pressures up to 50.000 Pa (500 mbar, 5.000 mm WC).

Push-in pipes

Special lengths can be achieved by using a welding end or flanging the shortened pipe.

The simplest application is to use push-in pipes:
Roll the ring seal onto the push-in pipe, push it as far as required into the normal pipe, roll the ring seal back to the lip of the normal pipe and press it by means of a pull ring (without seal).  This connection is not shock-explosion proof. Admissible differential pressure 100 mbar (1000 mm WG, 10.000 PA).

Push-in pipe connections cannot absorb any axial forces. The piping must be fixed on site so that it cannot displace. For horizontally installed pipelines a support of the pipes must be planned in the area of the connection in order to prevent the pipeline from sagging. As the area between the push-in pipe and the normal pipe is difficult to keep clean, a push-in pipe is not recommended in case of higher requirements with regard to hygiene.

In case of formation of condensation the push-in pipe must be mounted in a way, that in the area between the pipes no liquid may gather. The flow direction for air is not defined. Solid materials may only be conveyed from the push-in pipe in the direction of the normal pipe. The sealing of the push-in pipe with rubber bead ring and clamping ring must be used for 3 mm thick piping – but it may be also used for smaller wall thicknesses.

Push-in pipes are not telescopic pipes that can be adjusted during operation.

Turn-head distributors 45° dust-tight version

• For dangerous materials, group 1 – directive 67/548/EWG, the admissible overpressure is only 0.5 bar.
• Feeding from the top through the turn-pipe towards the requested outlet inside of a closed casing.

• Support by means of four lugs, fixed to the lower funnel circumference according data-sheet.
