General

MTS is manufacturer of built-in belt scales and offers numerous belt scale variants for all types of belt conveyors. In accordance with the requirements of the respective application (belt width, conveyed material and quantity, required measuring accuracy) belt scales can selected from the standard portfolio (ESW 2.2, EBW 10 series, EBW 20 series) or adapted to special needs – in legal-for-trade and non-legal-for-trade versions.

Characteristics

Built-in belt scales by MTS are manufactured completely in Germany and are available as single-idler as well as two- or three-idler belt scales. They are designed for belt widths from 400 to 1,800 mm and flow rates from 2 to 10,000 t/h.

Design of belt scale EBW 10

The robust weighing platform of the belt scale EBW 10 consists of a frame unit and is equipped with two precise strain gauge load cells which are secured by a transport and overload protection. The support spars of the scale are served as a holder for the weighing platform as well as for the measuring wheel and are simply screwed on the belt construction. This makes it easy to change the scale into another belt conveyor. The construction of the belt scale ensures the required stability for an accurate and reliable weighing.

General

The ModWeigh series are modern and powerful control units for dynamic weighing. The modular design simplifies the selection of the transmitters and displays according to the application.

The new ModWeigh series works with a powerful A/D modifier, with a high resolution and adjustable filters that ensures a very high measurement accuracy. Additional filters support the exact recording of the measuring signals, so that the ModWeigh control units can also be used where plant vibrations can be result into disturbance, e.g. in mobile screening and crushing plants.

Impact scales are weighing systems for the continuous quantity measurement of easily flowing bulk materials in vertical process routes. MTS is the manufacturer of the ImpactWeigh impact scales, which have been developed by us and which are available in several sizes.

Characteristics

The ImpactWeigh by MTS is characterised by the newly developed measuring unit, which guarantees a high level of accuracy. The scales have large, easy-to-open inspection access flaps and a two-piece measuring chamber housing. Furthermore, the ImpactWeigh can be equipped with a static testing device.

Weigh feeders are belt conveyors with an integrated weighing section, which can be adapted to the product properties and the requirements of the application, and which are specially designed for the requirements of precise weighing. They are used for dosing and regulating applications and for high-precision weighing - also legal-for-trade.

Characteristics

VBF weigh feeders are extremely robust belt scales, which are available in very short lengths from 1,200 mm due to their construction.

Design

Belt conveyor with drive, inlet funnel for defined material feed, with connection flange and height level limiter, high-precision weighing unit with terminal box, speedometer, belt substructure, enclosure.

General

MTS offers numerous load cells and built-in modules for the weighing of silos and containers. The selection of the load cells and weighing modules takes place according to the shape, size and construction of the containers, their installation and ambient conditions as well as the required accuracy.

Characteristics

The VC 3500 and LCM 460 are built-in modules with integrated lift lock for loads from 2 to 200 t. The special construction of the modules enables installation directly between the foundation and the container support. The module guarantees optimum force introduction and an extremely high lift and transverse load protection - without any additional steering and lashing mechanisms. This considerably simplifies the planning and assembly of the weighing system. The modules have a transport and installation lock, which protects the load cell from such shock loads as may occur during installation of the silo.

The LCM 460 weighing module is legal-for-trade for nominal loads up to 20 t.

Benefits

1. Accuracy

• The VC 3500 and LCM 460 are equipped with high-precision stainless steel double-ended shear beam load cells. The LCM 460 even has an OIML R60 approval C3 for nominal loads up to 20 t. The construction of the module provides optimum force introduction into the load cell, thus ensuring reliable and exact weighing results.

2. Safety

• The special construction of the modules protects the load cell from high lift and lateral loads, thus ensuring the installation of the load cell module directly between foundation and container support. No additional steering and lashing equipment is required. Slight tilting can also be compensated

3. Protection

• Securing bolts in the upper section of the module protect the load cell from such shock loads as may occur upon installation of the silo. An additional grounding conductor serves as surge protection.

4. Easy replacement of load cells

• This is a special feature: the load cells are fitted into the module in such a way that the cell can be replaced without the necessity to remove the entire module, which is installed underneath the silo or container.
