New size for E-Compressors

The successful screw compressor generation Delta Screw from AERZEN gets an addition: With the VM 100 compressor package, the versatile E-Compressor series now comprises seven model variants. Its distinguishing features: the efficient technology for use in the upper volume flow range and the integrated electric acoustic hood fan.

The new development of Aerzener Maschinenfabrik will be presented for the first time at COMVAC 2019, the leading international trade fair for compressed air and vacuum technology in Hanover. The new compressor type is designed for a volume flow range from 1500 to 7620 m³/h and covers a maximum differential pressure of 3.5 bar. The application specialist AERZEN is thus responding to specific practical requirements in the low-pressure range and the constantly growing demands for high-performance and efficient technology. All in all, the broad product range of E compressors includes 7 sizes in the volume flow range from 330 to 7,620 m³/h and drive capacities from 30 to 630 kW.

A special feature of the new model type is the already integrated acoustic hood fan. Another new feature is the space-saving horizontal position of the discharge silencer. Like all E-Compressors of the series, the VM 100 has an acoustic hood with internal supply and exhaust air louvers, which favours the compact design. Flow-optimised intake channels minimise pressure loss significantly. A significant improvement in performance can be achieved by supplying cool outside air directly into the intake filter. Unique is the absolutely oil- and absorbent free compressed air technology of AERZEN. Oil-free operation is certified according to ISO 8573-1/Class 0.

The patented principle of the built-in reflection silencer protects against contamination and ensures process reliability over the entire service life of the system. And the latest addition to the E-Class also impresses with its flexibility. Various equipment options and a comprehensive range of accessories complete the VM 100's operational capability.

Efficiency and performance of the Delta Screw E-Compressors are safely controlled by the AERtronic software. The integrated panel reliably and conveniently monitors the intake, discharge and oil pressure as well as the discharge and oil temperature.

According to the manufacturer, all Class E screw compressors score points with a strong energy balance. The technology leader from Aerzen

Rotary lobe compressor packages Delta Hybrid
The rotary lobe compressor is one of the most innovative solutions in compressor technology, and one of the most efficient machines by far in the vast 25 to 100 per cent control range. Delta Hybrid has long been the only packaged unit in the world to bring together the benefits of blower and compressor technology in one single unit. For completely new possibilities in creating positive and negative pressure. And for savings of up to 15 per cent.
The successful AERZEN Rotary Lobe Compressor packages have been designed for oil free compression of air and neutral gases. The Delta Hybrid is currently available for positive pressure and vacuum applications in the range of nominal nozzle sizes DN 100 to DN 300 (4 in. to 12 in.). A flexible modular concept enables the combination of multiple machine and motor sizes within a nominal package size. When equipped with the most suitable belt drive, the current performance requirement can be met most closely while enabling possible later easy adjustments.
The new and successful Delta Hybrid series covers a flow range of 110 m³/h to 9.000 m³/h (65 to 5300 cfm) with 16 machine sizes and for positive pressures (depending on the size) up to 1500 mbar g. (22 psig) and vacuum to -700 mbar (-21"Hg). Beside the former sizes S and L
as well as H for higher pressures, the varied rotary lobe compressor kit is now also available as E option for special negative pressure applications.

AERtronic controls the compressed air processes. AERtronic's control system includes all common interfaces such as MODBUS RTU (standard), PROFIBUS DP, MODBUS Gateway between RTU and MODBUS TCP (Ethernet) and PROFINET©.

Touchscreen navigation is intuitive and user-friendly. All operating data are archived, logged and enable reliable evaluation. Maintenance cycles can be planned and carried out in advance on the basis of operating hours. As an option, the control can be set up depending on the system pressure, which makes operation even more energy-efficient. As a master version, the overall performance of the system can be improved via AERtronic. The utilisation of individual machines within the entire network can also be displayed more homogeneously. Energy savings of up to 30% can be achieved by switching compressors on and off according to consumption and demand. Optimising the running times of the compressors and the maintenance intervals will result in additional savings.

As an innovative machine control system, AERsmart represents the most intelligent component in the communication network. With AERsmart, the required oxygen demand in the wastewater tank can be distributed to the machine park in such a way that low, medium and high loads are served as best as possible within the configuration of the plant. The respective load profiles are answered precisely and efficiently. The result: clever load distribution thanks to smart controlled combination operation.

Webview is the central control element for transparency in machine park management. The module can be easily integrated into the control panel via plug-and-play and offers access to relevant data and facts from anywhere in the world.
