More than just dosing fibers

The m-tec development FIBERDOS® is a flexible dosing system for introducing fibres into bulk material processes. Optimised for plastic, cellulose, and glass fibres FIBERDOS® is suitable for the most diverse dosing applications. Its most remarkable properties are the fully automated operation and a max dosing precision of ±20 grams! Integrated in the installed system controller, FIBERDOS® analyses the relevant recipe instructions to allow for a convenient activation and monitoring of the dosing process. FIBERDOS® activates the rollers in its conveying unit to transport the fibres to the centre of the hopper. Following aeration the fibres are being transported into the dosing chamber which en-sures that accuracy of preset dosing weight parameters are maintained. At the same time, integrated measuring cells monitor the fibre mass when it is dosed out. The extremely high dosing precision of the FIBERDOS® is therefore assured! The FIBERDOS® dosing system is available in two standard sizes: a) 500 x 1000 mm for 500 – 1000 l hopper volumes (max dosing capacity 150 g/s) b) ) 1000 x 1000 mm for 1200 – 2000 l hopper volumes, e.g. the complete content of a big bag (max dosing capacity 150 g/s)

m-tec ME mixers

ME batch mixers: Smart and self-cleaning!

m-tec mixers operate according to the centrifugal principle. The special construction of the mixer unit (also available with low-wear fittings as required) creates a three-dimensional movement of the particles in the components to be mixed. Temperate mixing of the raw materials produces a high mixing quality within the briefest of times. The use of optionally available agitators, which are fitted with specialised tools, allows the successful, trouble-free processing of agglomerates, colour pigments and fibres. This mixer type is regarded as a successful blend of high output owing to its rapid emptying on the one hand and (compared to twin-valve mixers) its low capital investment cost on the other. In the ME model the contents of the mixing chamber is emptied through a pneumatically or hydraulically operated emptying flap, which extends along the entire length of the mixer and opens to an angle of 60°, into a hopper. After emptying the residue remaining in the mixer is less than 2 ‰ (this may vary depending on the product). m-tec’s patented sealing system with mechanical self-cleaning ensures a 100% seal owing to a double-locking flap together with a toggle-lever locking system… even with cohesive mixing products containing relatively high levels of residual humidity. While the end-product is continuously removed from the hopper, the mixing of a new batch can be started immediately, thus significantly optimising processing time in comparison to a mixer with no hopper. The rapid emptying of the mixer saves additional time and thus considerably increases the throughput of the mixer – although this will vary according to the product-dependent mixing time. When considering the total energy requirements, both the above points together result in a significant energy and hence cost saving. High mix quality (compared with mixers with nozzle outlets) and reduced running time – ME mixers are ideally suited for customers who value high performance but who may also require manual cleaning during any switch in production. The actual mixing result is indistinguishable from that of our top MR model!

m-tec MR mixers

MR batch mixers: the clean solution!

m-tec mixers work according to the centrifugal principle. The special construction of the mixer unit (also available with low-wear fittings as required) creates a three-dimensional movement in the particles in the components to be mixed. By gently mixing the raw materials, this allows high mixing quality within the briefest of times. The use of optionally available shaft whirlers, which are fitted with specialised tools, allows the successful, trouble-free processing of agglomerates, colour pigments as well as fibres. One of the most notcieable features of this type of mixer is its almost residue-free, rapid emptying. In the MR model, the contents of the mixing container is emptied through two hydraulically or pneumatically operated emptying flaps, which extend along the entire length of the mixer and open to an angle of 100°, into an end-container. After emptying, the residue remaining in the mixer can be measured in fractions of a percent (this may vary according to the product). m-tec’s patented sealing system with mechanical self-cleaning ensures a 100% seal thanks to a double-locking flap together with a toggle-lever locking system… even with cohesive mixing products with relatively high levels of residual humidity. While the end-product is continuously removed from the end-container, the mixing of a new batch can already be started, thus significantly optimising processing time in comparison to a mixer with no endcontainer. MS batch mixers: high mixing quality at a low price!

m-tec mixers work according to the centrifugal principle. The specific construction of the mixer unit (also available with low-wear fittings as required) creates a threedimensional movement of the particles in the components to be mixed. Temperate mixing of raw materials results in a high mixing quality within a short space of time. The optional use of available agitators, fitted with specialised tools, allows for the successful, trouble-free processing of agglomerates, colour pigments and fibres. A distinct advantage of this type of mixer is the simple integration into existing units and designs, through outlet nozzles which can be individually customised and positioned as well as the mixer’s actual construction. In MS type mixers, the contents of the mixing container are emptied through pneumatically actuated discharge flaps which are integrated into the discharge nozzles, either directly or through a downstream rotary feeder in the subsequent process. This enables a quick and convenient emptying process of the mixing container, whilst providing the option for a measured emptying process in stages through the use of a frequency-controlled rotary feeder. m-tec’s patented sealing system with mechanical self-cleaning attribute ensures a 100% seal by virtue of the double-locking flaps mechanism… even with cohesive mixing products. An under hopper is also optionally available for this type of mixer. The pros: While the end-product is continuously removed from the under hopper, the mixing of a new batch can already be started, thus significantly optimising processing time in comparison to a mixer with no under hopper.
