Rotor centrifugal crusher (RSMX)
The crusher and cubicator
Our rotor centrifugal crusher (type RSMX) is a high-performance crusher with a vertical shaft for throughput rates of 30 to 400 t/h, depending on the model. It is suitable for all types of minerals, including extremely hard input materials.
Every single particle of the input material undergoes extreme acceleration in the patented twin-chamber rotor and is subsequently thrown against the fixed impact wall. The impact wall can consist of an anvil ring or a rock shelf. The ample size of the rotor and housing largely eliminates the risk of clogging. The crushing result can be decisively influenced and optimized by selecting the appropriate rotation speed.
Owing to the rock-on-rock principle, wear is limited to a select few parts. As a result, the machine is also an excellent choice for highly abrasive input material (such as gravel) or for the production of crushed sand from highly abrasive minerals. The grading curve remains unchanged even after progressive wear of the crushing tools.
Since stress is applied to every single particle, rock processing yields other useful benefits
- Improved particle shape (cubicity, crushed face count)
- Selective crushing of composite materials
The machine is also suitable for processing highly abrasive materials:
- Glass processing
- Slag processing
- Brick fragment processing
New RSMX TwinDrive version for throughputs up to 580 t/h
The RSMX 1222 with TwinDrive (a double drive) is a high-end version of the rotor centrifugal crusher with a drive power of up to 2 x 315 kW. Instead of a single drive, this crusher uses two drives offset by 180°. Such an arrangement enjoys several advantages. It results in a balanced distribution of forces in the shaft, places less stress on the bearings and increases the service life of the machine. The machine processes up to 580 t of rock per hour depending on the properties of the input material and the desired final product. Potential users of the RSMX TwinDrive come from the areas of mining and ore treatment, among many others.
The machine is unchanged apart from the new drives. It can be used for exactly the same tasks as the proven rotor centrifugal crushers (RSMX) with only one drive that process between 30 and 400 t/h depending on their drive power of between 75 and 400 kW. Both machine types are therefore also suitable, for example, for the selective crushing of softer and harder material.
