As a result of evolutions in legislation (e.g. the introduction of the General Food Law) and the subsequent increase in bacteriological inspections, there is a tendency in the food industry towards cleaning systems that can be validated. By this we mean cleaning systems that are verifiable, automatic and operator-independent.
As far as food safety is concerned, the introduction of the product into the process is a crucial step. It is very important that product spillage and contamination are avoided.
For a customer from the baby food industry, J-Tec’s R&D department designed a CIP cleanable (Clean In Place) discharge station for sacks and Big Bags®. This unit has been designed in accordance with EHEDG directives (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group). The station has been made completely out of stainless steel. The product contact parts are Ra ≤ 0,4 μm, and the outside surfaces are Ra ≤ 0,8 μm. It has no sharp edges
where unhealthy organisms and dust can accumulate.
The bag dumping unit has a 100% water- and dust-tight door thanks to a special, FDA approved seal. Optionally, a removable grid can be supplied.
The Big Bag® discharge station ensures dustfree discharging of Big Bags® thanks to J-Tec’s discharge clamp. If necessary a shutt-off system for Big Bags® and/or a pneumatic hammer can be supplied.
The unit can be fitted with the required equipment for CIP cleaning.
