Plenty of Air for Cleaning Filters
For over 25 years Buschjost has been producing components for dust cleaning systems. This experience and the know-how accumulated from numerous projects with prestigious customers is embodied in the products developed, which set market standards in relation to technology, reliability, functionality and value for money. To cater for large filters needing large volumes of air Buschjost has now expanded the 82900/82960 series with valves with nominal diameters of DN50 and DN65. This involved intensive detailing with modern design and simulation tools and optimisation of all relevant parameters. The results are clearly evident from the impressively high Kv values of the new valves, with the DN50 managing 80 and the DN65 as high as 93. These figures prove that perfect matching of alternative flow characteristics, tank and seat diameters, lifts and inflow angles is possible.
In a similar way to the body geometry, Buschjost has improved the opening and closing characteristics. The extremely short opening times quickly build up an intense pulse of pressure that ensures effective cleaning. Closing of the 82900/82960 series is similarly fast, as for cost-effective operation of the cleaning system the pulse of air has to drop back to zero as quickly as possible to minimise air consumption.
The valves can be directly solenoid or externally actuated. For ease of installation even in tight spaces Buschjost has connected the body of the valve and solenoids by means of the Twist-on® bayonet system. This allows mounting and releasing with a single twist without the risk of losing any of the captive functional elements. The valves are designed for a long, maintenance-free service life. High quality, one-piece, inherently springy TPE diaphragms allow sustained operation free from failures. For the end customer this means a substantial reduction in maintenance costs.
To minimise noise the valves are fitted as standard with a silencer that even enables them to be used close to the point of production. This solution cuts noise emissions by up to 20 percent without impairing valve performance in any way. The standard version of the valves operates at fluid temperatures between –40 and +85 degrees, and special models cope with up to 140 degrees C. The filter pulse valves are designed for a pressure from 0.4 to 8 bar.
All solenoid actuated valves have a solenoid actuated pilot that offers maximum protection against icing. Solenoids are available for all common DC and AC voltages from 12 to 230V and with approvals such as Atex, UL, etc.
