Gas and vapour purification is daily practise in the chemical industry, F & B or pharmaceutical industry and gas cartridge filters are a method of choice. Sommer & Strassburger has developed an entirely new, best-price housing series for cartridges Code 7 (height 5“ to 40“).
Standardized, high-end raw material and a maximum degree of mechanization add highest quality to an attractive price:
The housings are made from cold-rolled sheet with a surface roughness Ra < 0.8 µm. All welds are orbital welds and can be documented to pharmaceutical standards on request.
The new, patent-pending module seal saves material and eliminates two welds and their documentation. All nozzles on the housing are welded on extrusions and thus have smooth transitions with radius. Even the most challenging part, the filtrate outlet, is orbital welded. The hygienic design makes the housing completely drainable and crevice-free.
It’s up to the customer to decide whether he wants a chemical, F&B or pharmaceutical finish on the housings: different qualities are available, ranging from matt pickled to electro-polished.
Fort he connections, there is a choice between clamps DIN 32676 with size ranges according to DIN / ISO / ASME BPE , aseptical connections, welding end or customized solutions. Standard material for the housings is 316L (1.4404). The
o-ring seal can be made of EPDM or any other material like silicone, viton etc.. The housings are designed for an operating pressure of -1 to +10 bar at an operating temperature of -10 to +140 °C.
