The Turbofiner is a size reduction machine for the production of finest powder qualities from soft to medium-hard materials. The principle of the machine is based on the size reduction of the material in a high turbulent airflow by micro-finest whirls.
The product to be reduced in size is dosed, pre-dispersed in the air stream, distributed equally around the circumference of the pre-size reduction zone and then guided in the vertical grinding chamber of the turbofiner spirally from below to above by several whirl zones with increasing intensity of the air whirls.
The micro-finest whirls are occurring behind the beater plates of the quick-rotating turbo wheel, which is surrounded by a profiled grinding path with exchangeable segments. The material can be sifted twice in the machine, once by turbulent gravity separation, whereby the adjustable sweeping force of the air already takes off sufficiently fine ground material from the whirl zones into the second sifting zone.
The machine is made of a welded steel design. Four big doors grant easy and optimum access to the grinding chamber for cleaning and maintenance purposes. V-belt pulleys drive the turbo rotor. The bearing is completely separated from the grinding chamber, so that neither oil from the bearing can contaminate the material nor material can enter the bearing.
