Along with the development of automotive industry, applications made of polyurethane foams are becoming more and more appreciated. Currently, Gasket Sp. z o.o. processes and provides two types of foamed polyethylene to its clients from the abovementioned industry branches – rigid and integral skin foam.
Due to its very low heat transfer coefficient, rigid foam is the perfect material for thermal insulation. What is more, its cross-linked character grants it a high resilience to many organic solvents. In conjunction with positive acoustic characteristics and high adhesiveness on the production level, it is the perfect solution in the car design process.
Integral skin foams are the best choice for visible elements of the car interior equipment. High resistance to mechanical damage enables this polymer to be used in the manufacture of steering wheels and gear shift knobs. It also presents an interesting alternative to the elements covered with leather or other materials.
Moreover, integral skin foams, due to their thermal insulation properties and high resistance to mechanical damage, offer an effective protection for flexible elements within the engine chamber, such as rubber hoses or cable bundles.
