Schulz Systemtechnik GmbH was founded in 1954 as Heinrich Schulz Elektroanlagen GmbH in the town of Visbek, Lower Saxony. From its beginnings as a classical handicraft business for electrical installations, it has now developed into a group of business enterprises operating internationally. Thus it was one of the first German companies in its sector with extensive investments both in the New Federal States (former East Germany) and in Central Eastern Europe and Southeast Europe. From the very start, Schulz was also involved in the area of agricultural systems production, not least because the roots of the enterprise are to be found in the midst of the European plant grafting and livestock farming centre. The industrial automation division with more than seventy employees is also very important, with a planning department comprising modern CAD workplaces, its own software development facility, and experienced mechanics whose commitment extends from planning, software engineering, switchgear construction and assembly to supervising commissioning. The most recent field of activity concerns the market for renewable energy with special concern for biogas technology and solar energy.
The firm’s head office in the Oldenburg region of the Münsterland has grown continuously and already employs more than 800 staff at the main establishment there and at the other four sites in Doberschütz near Leipzig, Burg near Magdeburg, Podelzig near Frankfurt on the Oder and in Poznán in Poland. The business enterprise, which has held an ISO 9001 Certificate since as long ago as 1996, now looks after customers in more than thirty countries on every continent. The managing partners of the SCHULZ Systemtechnik Company are the founder Heinrich Schulz and his son, the industrial engineer Tobias Schulz.
