The following operations can be completed in the same unit, without any intermediate steps: solvent extraction, filtration, pressing (dewatering), washing, dissolution, decolouring, deodorising, and drying. Its working principle is based on a vessel designed for pressure and vacuum operation, with a flanged bottom, equipped with a filtering plate.
It also has an agitator that has been specially designed for forward and reverse motion. It can be hydraulically or electrically driven with a frequency inverter. Sealing of the agitator shaft can be maintained either by a packed seal or mechanical seal. Cooling or heating systems can be incorporated in the vessel, and in the agitator shaft and blades.
There are hydraulic systems for raising and lowering the agitator, lowering the bottom for cleaning and maintenance. The locking of the bottom can be done either manually by means of hinged threaded clamps, or by a hydraulically driven bayonet clamp.
Operating like a vacuum drier, the NUCHA can have a heating system on the filtering plate, which can be supplied in any kind of mesh, synthetic or metallic mesh, Woven Wire laminate material or composed of ceramic tiles. It is also possible to incorporate a second high- speed agitator off-centre for delumping.
Construction materials: from mild steel, with ebonite lining or similar, austenitic stainless steels in any quality, duplex steels, special alloys, Hastelloy, etc.
Filtering surfaces from 0.1 m² to 15 m².
