Materials with a hardness of up to 3,5 Mohs can be processed. The combination of size reduction and dynamic air classifying within one housing allows for optimum processing of soft to medium hard materials. The main areas of application of the mill can be found for example in the chemical-, food-, mineral-, metal-, powder paint and pharmaceutical industry.
The PALLMANN Classifier Mill, type PCM has a modular design for maximum flexibility. The material to be size reduced is pneumatically fed in order to allow for maximum throughput capacity. Furthermore this allows for high flexibility in the system planning as well as reduced sound emission. The air inlet openings and the grinding chamber are flow-optimized. Pressure drop in the mill is low. The interior design effectively prevents product build-up.
The grinding disc, guide ring, classifier as well as components in contact with the product in the grinding chamber are manufactured out of castings, steel or stainless steel. Surface treatment corresponds to the area of application. Product inlet, grinding hammers or pins, grinding disc, grinding path, classifier wheel, mill cover and product discharge can be ordered in wear-resistant ceramic design. The speed of the grinding disc and the classifier can be infinitely adjusted by means of a frequency regulator. This allows for infinite adjustment of the particle size distribution of the end product during operation.
The grinding discs and grinding elements can be delivered in various sizes and materials. Classifier Mills, type PCM can be designed pressure shock-resistant up to 10 bar.
