LeverMount® is the latest development in Thames Side Sensors' range of unique, time-saving, easy-to-install weighing modules.
Process weighing installations are made easier, safer and more cost-effective using this very simple, innovative design.
Utilising the established range of Thames Side shear beam and bending beam load cells, the patented stainless steel LeverMount® weighing module retains all the advantages of previous weighing module designs, whilst providing improved mechanical stability before, during and after installation.
LeverMount’s® unique patented design is such that no separate support or lifting arrangements are necessary to raise and lower the vessel. The base casting itself provides a stable load-bearing platform prior to installation of the load cell. Once the vessel is in position and the two transit bolts are removed, the load cell is used as a lever to raise the top plate of the weighing module into the working position, regardless of whether the vessel is empty or full.
Removal of a load cell at any time is accomplished by reversing the procedure and this requires no jacks, dummy load cells or specialist tools. Installation, operation and maintenance of a vessel weighing system is consequently made safer, easier, swifter and less costly.
For use with the LeverMount® weighing module, Thames Side model T66 and 350i load cells are approved to 3000 divisions, OIML R60 Class C. These load cells are also available in ATEX approved versions for applications in hazardous areas. Use in dust zones 20, 21 and 22 is possible without any need for zener (safety) barriers.
The T66 and 350i load cells are protected to IP68 / IP69K, offering the highest levels of protection. This makes the LeverMount® weighing module the ideal choice for accurate weighing in harsh industrial environments where wash-down using high pressure, high temperature water jets is a regular occurrence - such as the food and pharmaceutical industries.
LeverMount® load cells (at all capacities) are available in a high temperature version as an option (up to +150 degrees C). Additionally, a special protective 'Parylene' coating is available as an option for applications in aggressive environments, where stress corrosion or acid attack is a concern.
